A phone with two displays? Is it worth it, lets find out

Meizu Pro 7

Smartphone manufacturers are really working towards displays by decreasing bezels with this feature most commonly marketed as ‘infinity display’ however the phone we are going to talk about today decided to go in a totally different direction. The Meizu Pro 7 does not have a bezel-less display or an amazing screen to body ratio but what it does have is a second touch screen panel. Now many will think of it as really stupid idea as one screen is enough to display anything you need to see but don't get me wrong here as Meizu has really got that screen to some really good use. The second display shows date and time and also tracks your steps but the feature which I really found useful was the fact that the rear dual camera can also be used for taking selfies using the second display which is a great feature. The other specifications of the include the Helio P-25 chipset, Dual 12 megapixel cameras and a 5.2 inch Super Amoled display.

The second display did not affect the thickness of the phone which is great however the bezels on the front display aren't the smallest which is why this won't be the smallest 5.2 inch phone you will be holding. The back display is really sharp so you won't have a problem with that. The performance of the phone won't be an issue as it packs a powerful processor and the price of this phone is around $450 which is not very expensive. This is a unique phone for its price tag. If you want something unique with the latest specs but aren't in the likes of the so-called ‘infinity display’ then a phone with a usable secondary display could be a viable alternative.
