Everything we know about Samsung’s next flagship
Apple is starting to take pre-preorders for the iPhone X today and this makes us think what Samsung has in store for their next flagship which will probably going to be the biggest competitor to the iPhone X.
Samsung has a lot in store for the Samsung Galaxy S9 as far as rumours suggest. Here’s everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy S9 based on rumours-
DISPLAY
The S8 was one of the first phones in the market with the so-called bezel-less display which became the trend in smartphones for 2017
And this makes us think what Samsung has in store for the S9 however as this is just an year old design we think that we see much other than a few minor changes in the display area and we don’t really have a problem with that as its still one of the best displays you can get in a smartphone today.
PERFORMANCE
This is one area where every predecessor is beaten and you get to see the biggest changes which is the same case with the S9. We still think we will have the same 4GB RAM in the S9 which is not less however Samsung phones have always had RAM management issues so we think if Samsung can solve that then the 4GB will be enough when coupled with the rumoured Snapdragon 845 which possibly will be the flagship processor for 2018 however this is based on rumours so we can’t say anything for sure yet.
CAMERA
The S9 will have a dual camera setup very similar to the one we have seen in the Note 8 which is a great camera and if Samsung can beat the Pixel phones in this category then it might be able to get back the title of having the best camera in a smartphone which Samsung had before the Pixel came out. The front camera is the main change with Samsung launching a 3D front camera which will be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Face-ID with similar unlocking capabilities. We don’t much yet but we would love to see it in the S9.
OTHER FEATURES
The phone is still going to most likely have a fingerprint sensor unfortunately at the back. We don’t know yet if the 3D camera technology is going to replace the iris scanner or possibly work with it to unlock the phone like the iPhone X. We will have a water resistance rating, possibly a higher rating. Wireless charging will also be a there, again possibly improved in some ways and maybe faster.
PRICE
It is going to be priced very similarly to the S8 which is not a bad thing.
LAUNCH
The phone was rumoured to be launched in January but it seems to be too early noting that people will be still stuck with their contracts so we’d guess it will be somewhere near march which will be a great time to launch the phone.
CONCLUSION RUMOURS
This is all based on rumours and we will have to wait for more rumours to confirm anything.
