Just a while back Xiaomi's new device, Xiaomi Mi 5X was launched. The phone seems to be premium offered at a price of RMB 1499 which roughly translates to 14,000 rupees. Xiaomi again continues to offer a device with great specifications at an economical price although this phone competes an already successful phone by Xiaomi the Redmi Note 4, let's see if it is any good against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 5X has:
It has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LTPS display and comes with MIUI 9 running Android 7.1.1 out of the box. One of the highlighting feature of the Mi 5X is the Dual Camera setup it has a 12-megapixel wide-angle with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and a 12-megapixel telephoto with 1-micron pixel sensor and f/2.6 aperture also it comes with increasingly popular Portrait Mode. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It features the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. The Xiaomi Mi 5X also comes with a high-quality audio output with DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm and a standalone audio amplifier for improved quality via headphones. It packs in a 3080 mAh battery and comes with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors present on the Xiaomi Mi 5X include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Is it Better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4?
The Xiaomi Mi 5X and the Redmi Note 4 share a lot of similar specifications. Let's see which one is better. The Redmi Note 4 definitely takes the lead when it comes to the Battery capacity likewise when it comes to the camera Mi 5X is a clear winner. On paper it seems like its the best camera that you can get under 15,000 rupees. Other features like processor, RAM, storage are almost same. The Mi 5X does come with some enhanced features like the DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm and a standalone audio amplifier for improved quality via headphones making it a bit better than the Redmi Note 4. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is a good device to pick but in my opinion the Redmi Note 4 is better for the price you pay.
Will the Xiaomi Mi 5X launch in India?
The chances of the Mi 5X launching in India are less. Although nothing is officially announced but in my opinion Xiami wont do that. Why would Xiaomi launch another smartphone to compete its existing best-selling smartphone the Redmi Note 4? Let me know your thoughts below!
That's it for now, Stay tuned for more!
Cheers!
