Google Launches Motion Stills GIF-Making App On Android

Almost a year ago Google had launched an app called as Motion Stills on iOS. The app works on advanced stabilization techniques which captured short videos and exported them as GIF's.

What is Motion Stills?

The Motion Stills app has 2 modes namely, 'Motion Still' & 'Fast Forward' or hyperlapse. So basically Motion Still is a mode which captures 3 second clip and plays it again and again in  a loop which are also called as GIF's. Next is Fast Forward which is my choice between two  of them, the functionality of the app is quite similar to what is there in Instagram Hyperlapse app. After you have captured a video in the Fast Forward mode, the video is automatically stabilized and then you get an option to speed it up from twice to eight times the original speed, one interesting thing is that you can change its speed even after its saved. The stabilization doesn't work that well at lower speeds tho. Also the Processing time is good.

How does it work?

When you shoot a video, the app processes the video frame-by-frame and after you are done, you can just swipe up to see the final and finished video. All the videos captured can be exported as a GIF or in the fast forwarded form.
