Just a while back the Developer Preview 4 for the Android O was out and might be released soon. But what's the most surprising thing of all is the Octopus, after flashing the latest developer preview of the Android O this Octopus image was showing up in place of the Easter eggs. Also the earlier Developer Preview had an O in the background instead of this.
Now all these pieces of information lead to the question that, "Will Android O be named as Octopus?" Now the answer to that question still cant be answered, although most of the time prior to the release of a new version of Android Google does reveal the name secretly through these Easter Eggs.
Now from the past years Google's every other Android version is named after a dessert and this in no way is a dessert. Now, octopus is certainly a food, enjoyed by millions as a delicacy around the world. It can be served as part of sushi, fried, or prepared in any number of ways. But the overwhelming consensus of the culinary world would indicate that it’s not a dessert! The closest thing we can find to a dessert version of octopus is a Trolli octopus gummy, but Google’s Easter egg seems to lack the multi-coloured hues that the candy treat is known for.
