Essential Phone Review - Price, Specifications, Comparison

So recently the Essential Phone was recently launched  at price tag of $700. So here is Everything you need to know about the Essential Phone!

Specifications

The Essential Phone is completely made out of titanium and ceramic which is probably one of the highlighting features of the phone, because titanium is a really rigid metal and if you look at the tensile strength, titanium alloys are really hard also the back which is made out of ceramic also is very durable and is resistant to scratches.

The Essential Phone has a really minimal and clean aesthetic although the phone is considerably heavier than any other flagship device (183g). Up at the top there is the earpiece, neatly fitted between the screen and the ceramic body. Also there is notification LED light which present with the earpiece. To the back there is fingerprint scanner which is pretty fast and accurate. The Essential Phone is also compatible with other wireless accessory's which can be connected with the two contact points located right above the finger-print scanner. The phone has a mono-speaker located right at the bottom, although I wished if it could have a stereo-speaker, that would have been great, and sadly there is no headphone jack.

Like every other flagship device this year the Essential Phone is a complete bezel-less device and comes with rounded corners with camera located at the top, although the camera doesn't interrupt while playing games or watching videos. The Essential Phone has 5.7" touchscreen display with a resolution of 1312 pixels by 2560 pixels with a pixel density of 504ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Essential Phone is powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset and an Adreno 540 GPU. Underneath the hood there is a Octa-core processor clocked at 1.9Ghz. The phone seems to be really fast in performance and is definitely comparable to the performance of any other flagship device from 2017.

The camera on the Essential Phone has 2 lenses out of which one is an RGB sensor and the second one being a monochrome sensor, basically these two lenses capture two photos and when they are combined while processing it produces an image which is as clean as possible. It has a Dual rear 13MP camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and comes with  phase detection and laser auto focus while the front camera is an 8MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.2, both the cameras can shoot 4K at 30fps. Overall the camera is great and surely is comparable to some of the best camera's from this years flagship.
The Essential Phone comes with 3040 mAh non-removable battery and comes with fast charging technology, the quick-charge 3.0, in my opinion the battery life isn't that good, it might only last for a day because the huge display might take up a lot of battery.

Is this the Best phone under $700?

The Essential Phone no doubt is a great phone, but is the best phone under $700? How good is it in comparison to other 2017 flagships? The Essential has a great design and build quality, its made out of titanium and ceramic which makes it extremely durable and comes with a USB Type-C port. The phone has a great processor which can be seen on any 2017 flagship. The phone has a bezel-less display and also comes with  a great dual camera setup. Although the battery life on this device isn't that great in comparison to other devices. Overall its a really great device under $700.

Pricing and Availability

The Essential Phone is priced at $700 and is available in four different colours, Stellar Gray, Ocean Depths, Black Moon, Pure White.
